Strand accumulates 'Oslo' for U.S.

Strand Delivering has acquired U.S. privileges to Joachim Trier's "Oslo, August 31st" and plans an overdue spring release. The smoothness study of the youthful guy investing each day from his alcohol and drugs detox center opened last May in the Cannes Film Festival and was selected for that Toronto and AFI film festivals. It will likely be displayed at Sundance now and it has been drawn on like a selection within the New Company directors/New Films program in the Museum of contemporary Art in March. The offer ended between Marcus Hu of Strand Delivering and Michael Weber from the Match Factory. Brigitte Suarez from the Match Factory stated "Oslo" has offered in 20 areas. "Oslo" was created by Motlys and do not Look Now. Strand intends to exhibit the film in a number of other U.S. festivals before its theatrical opening. Trier's previous film, "Reprise," received the very best director jerk at Karlovy Vary and also the Discovery Award at Toronto. Strand's current releases include Paddy Considine's "Tyrannosaur" and Philippe Le Guay's "The Ladies around the sixth Floor." Contact Dork McNary at dork.mcnary@variety.com
